Our school meal caterers are Mellors. Mellors are committed to delivering an exciting choice of food, using the freshest of ingredients, and will always source those from local suppliers, within the Yorkshire region, aspiring to support the local community. They have experienced Food Development teams, Chefs and Nutritionists, who are all on hand to ensure the development and creation of quality food from our school kitchen. Recipes are nutritious and exciting, whilst also complying with the wide range of mandatory food standards which must be adhered to. Unlike some other providers, Mellors offer a bespoke service, which will mean our school will benefit from the creation of tailored menus to meet the tastes and dietary requirements of all of our children. Mellors offer our pupils and staff main meals, vegetarian meals, jacket potatoes or sandwiches and pupils are able to help themselves to salad from the fresh salad bar every day. Your child can have meals every, or any, day of the week.
Cost of School Meals
Our school dinners are currently charged at £2.45 per day / £12.25 per week (from September 2023); children in Reception and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) are eligible for Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM) and therefore have no charge applied.
It is more important than ever that families who are entitled to Free School Meals claim for these. Parents can check the criteria for FSM eligibility and access an application form by clicking here.

Allergies and Dietary Requirements
Should your child have a food allergy that we are not already aware of, or develop an allergy or intolerance going forward, please advise the school office as soon as possible, so that we can work with Mellors to provide a safe and tasty alternative option. Our Catering Manager, is more than happy to speak with you should you have any questions or concerns. Please contact the school if you have any concerns regarding your child's dietary requirements.
